Honoring Those We’ve Lost

When you check-in for the day you will see that we have our Honor List names available on individual name tags for you to choose and carry with you on your run or walk.

After you complete your run or walk, please plan to stay for awards and the closing ceremony. For the closing ceremony we will read the names shared with us of veterans lost to suicide followed by TAPS.

The purpose of reading the names during closing and carrying them during the event is to:

  • Honor their memory: We keep their stories alive.

  • Acknowledge the reality of veteran suicide: These are individuals, not just statistics.

  • Create a personal connection: We feel their loss and understand the impact.

  • Fuel our mission: Their names drive our commitment to raising awareness and support.

  • Show solidarity: We share the burden and support grieving families.

We run and/or walk together to remember, to honor, and to bring hope, ensuring their sacrifice is never forgotten.
